COUNCIL CANDIDATE FILES TODAY TO OFFICIALLY PARTICIPATE IN
CAMPAIGN FINANCE PROGRAM
Staten Island, N.Y. - City Council candidate (49th
- North Shore) Debi Rose today officially filed her certification to
participate in the New York City Campaign Finance Program with the N.Y.C.
Campaign Finance Board.
I am glad that I am following through on my promise to
run for the City Council and fully utilize the unique campaign finance system
that we have in New York, Ms. Rose stated. My campaign has been
complying with the Citys Campaign Finance program since I made my
announcement in March of last year and will continue to abide by the
programs requirements, she continued. . New York Citys
Campaign Finance Program is a model across the nation for emphasizing the
interests of small donors and by reducing the influence of corporate and
special interest in the election process, she concluded.
By submitting the certification Ms. Rose is legally bound to
abide by the Programs contribution and spending limits as well as other
requirements for participation in the Program. The Program provides
participants a four-to-one match, up to $250, for contributions from New York
City residents.
